Environmental Sensitivities

Over the years we have run into an increasing number of individuals with environmental sensitivities. These individuals are highly sensitive to synthetic compounds and static electricity. This condition is often a result of high exposure to synthetic chemicals.

Effective Microorganisms™ (EM•1^®) can stop the odors naturally by being sprayed on surfaces such as clothing, carpeting, and upholstery. We have been fortunate by being able to offer these people a way to deal with the extensive noxious smells that surround us everywhere we go. Several of the applications we have mentioned in this website are applicable for people with environmental sensitivities.

We invite anyone suffering from this to try some EM•1^® Microbial Inoculant. One of the easiest applications is to just mix 1 ounce of EM•1^® Microbial Inoculant per pint of water and spray around the house and in the car. Wash all new clothing with about 1/8 cup of EM•1^® Microbial Inoculant per load of laundry.

To deal with these problems internally, we recommend using PRO EM•1^® Probiotic, EM-X^®, and EM-X^® Sea Salt in your dietary supplements.

My girlfriend and I are extremely chemically sensitive. Not only do most cleaning products make us sick, we have a hard time finding good health anywhere. On a trip we took to Arizona, we had to travel with a group in a rental van which had been heavily fragranced by the rent-a-car company after each return.

I have used EM•1^® on carpet that was both stained and smelling. The stain and the smell were suspected to be from bodily fluids but not urine. I used it in dilution, which was about 2 or 3 capfuls or two in a liter spray bottle with water. I sprayed the stain and the general area of the stain. The smell would go fairly quickly, but not the stain. I continued to spray every day for a couple of weeks, and the smell went completely and has never come back. The stain faded but could still be made out.

I also used EM•1^® on a new sofa that had been treated to be fire retardant and smelled of chemicals so badly I didn't want to be in the room with it. I used EM•1^® in dilution which was about 2 or 3 capfuls in a liter spray bottle with water. I sprayed all over the sofa, being careful not to soak it. The smell was improved immediately. After 4 or 5 applications on separate days, the smell was gone.
